Inductors, coils, and chokes are different terms used to describe products that store energy through the creation of a magnetic field. This category predominantly consists of fixed-value devices, but it also includes adjustable types, products designed for wireless power transmission, and arrays of magnetically coupled inductors. It's important to note that devices within this product family referred to as coupled inductors feature multiple identical windings sharing a common magnetic core; products with non-identical windings are more commonly recognized as transformers and are classified accordingly.
